Her hands wouldn’t stop exploring my body. Her fingers dipped and prodded at my muscles and abs before brazenly tugging my zipper down. She sneaked her hand inside and touched me through my briefs, biting her lip as she tried me out.

“You feel really big,” she said, not knowing her words did wonders for my ego. Her knuckles brushed against my crotch and my breath hitched.

I pushed her back on the bed and tugged her shorts down, making her lift her hips to accommodate me. She was only clad in white cotton panties now, and when she placed the tip of her index finger into her mouth and nipped at her nail, she was a perfect combination of innocence and sexuality, and my dick twitched so hard from my need to corrupt her.

“Oh, baby, you are a vision,” I gasped in awe. I placed both my hands on the sides of her panties and pulled them off slowly, savoring every centimeter of flesh that was revealed before I threw the garment out of the way.

The small tuft of red hair on the apex of her thighs looked inviting, and when I took too long staring at it, Jamie tried to cross her legs and cover herself up. I stopped her from moving, and opened them even wider, making me growl as her pink netherlips revealed themselves to me.

I kneeled between her legs as I began to remove my trousers, and then I sat back so I could kick them off my legs, my briefs following suit until at last, the both of us were naked.

Her eyes were locked onto my stiffening member, and I couldn’t help but tease her a little bit by rubbing it against her. She moved her hand up and down, stroking its length before I leaned over her body and braced myself with both of my elbows.

“I don’t think you’re going to fit,” she said worriedly, biting her lip. My shoulders shook with silent laughter. Did she really have no idea how her words affected a man?

“Are you scared?” I asked, guiding her hand until she was holding my cock at her entrance, her eyes widening. “Don’t be scared of me, baby.”

“I-I’m not,” she said adamantly, and as if to prove it, she squeezed my cock just right before exploring the whole length with slow, agonizing strokes.

Two can play it that way, I thought, and I let my hand travel between the valley of her breasts, down her stomach, and circling her navel before brushing against the tuft of hair and making it to home plate.

She arched her back as my fingers pressed against her clit, sending shocks all over her body. We stroked each other while our tongues explored each other’s mouths, taking our time to work ourselves into an appetite for the main event.

I dipped the tips of my fingers inside of her, and her passion exploded; her juices flowing out and coating my finger. I raised my hand towards my mouth and tasted her through my fingers, making her whimper with need.

“Hunter, please…,” she keened, beating my cock faster.

I swatted her hand away from my cock and positioned myself at her entrance once more, locking eyes with her while I brushed the head of my dick against her clit.

“Have you ever done this before?” I asked her, and she shook her head no. “Then you better brace yourself and hold on tight.”

I pushed myself inside her inch by glorious inch, my forehead starting to sweat, and the veins in my arms protruding as I tried my damnedest to control myself and not shove whole. I waited for her to acclimate with my girth before moving again, until I finally felt the thin membrane of her maidenhood.

I nibbled her lips, begging for entry, and as soon as our tongues danced with each other, I buried myself to the hilt, swallowing her pained cries.

I felt the tears coming down her face, and it made my heart break. “The worst is over, baby, I swear. I’ll make you feel so good from now on. I promise,” I told her.

When her cries subsided, I finally decided to move my hips and piston back inside her. She emitted a small gasp, lifting her ass up so she met me halfway. She moaned and my heart flipped. I did it again, and she responded.

My control broke, and I thrust my cock inside her harder, angling my dick just enough so that the tip brushed against the rough patch of her core and sent shockwaves through her body.

She moaned with every thrust, every pull, and every squeeze her inner muscles did around my cock. She wrapped her legs around my waist and pulled my head back for a kiss, her tongue mimicking the movement down between us.

I was getting close and so was she. I increased my momentum, and she scratched my back in response. I grunted and lowered my head to catch a swinging breast, sucking hard. She mewled and at last I felt her undulate around me, her juices rushing out of her once more, coating my member with her passion.

  I fucking lost it.

I came hard inside her, moving my hips still, letting out every last drop of my semen. I didn’t break until her muscles stopped convulsing around me, and then she flopped her arms tiredly to her sides, her chest rising and falling heavily.

I collapsed on top of her, totally spent, but I managed to turn us around so I was on the bottom, her head lying on top of my chest. She tried to get her knees up, but I pushed her back down with my hand, unwilling to separate myself from her just yet. She obliged and snuggled against me instead.

I rubbed her head and kissed her hair softly before telling her the words I’d been too nervous to say.

  “I love you.”

Her eyes were closed, and her breathing even, so I didn’t know if she heard me or not, but right then it didn’t matter.

What mattered was that I was finally able to say it.

  Chapter 21

  Jamie

It had been a few months since I started working for Hunter, even though I couldn’t exactly classify what I was doing as ‘working’ anymore.

I had to admit, I was too exhausted to get up in the morning most days, as I seemed to have whetted Hunter’s sexual appetite. He wanted to do it all the time. Thank God he still had a company to run, or else he’d probably convince me never to leave the bed.

Then again, it’s not like I was complaining…making love with Hunter was fantastic. He was such a generous lover as much as he was a ravenous one.

Of course, also after that first night, he’d been badgering me to no end about admitting that I love him, but I refused to say it yet. I love him a lot, but I wanted to reserve those words until I finally accomplished what I had set my mind to do.

I was following a new lead for Hunter’s grandmother’s portrait, and it brought me to a friend’s house who had been hosting some storage auctions lately, and he told me that he had news for me. I waved hello at him, and he jogged over to me shaking my hand, and I smiled at him.

“Hey, thank you for calling me about this. It’s really important,” I told him.

“It’s fine. It wasn’t a difficult request anyway,” he replied. “So, about that painting…”

“Yes? Do you know where it is?” I asked him eagerly, gripping the strap of my bag tightly in anticipation.

“My colleague told me they had one just like it a couple of months ago, but it was sold to a man in the last auction,” he confided. My heart sank at the new information. Someone’s already bought it?

“Oh no, I was too late,” I said sadly. “Well, does your friend know who bought it?”

“Well, he doesn’t remember who bought it, but he says the man had the painting delivered to his home, and the address list is at the administration’s office. I can get the address later, so as soon as I get it, I’ll forward it to you. Is that alright?” I nodded enthusiastically.

Finally, I was a step closer to giving Hunter his treasure back!

“Thank you so much! I’ll be expecting your call!” I said, giving my friend a big hug before leaving. I opened my phone so I could take an Uber, and after that, I dialed Lark’s number, chewing on my bottom lip as I waited for her to answer.

“Hey, Lark! I’m just calling because I think I may have found the Clara Louise. My friend is sending me the address and I’ll be headed straight there, but I’ll forward i
t to you, too, just in case. Wish me luck!”

Oh, Hunter. I can’t wait to see the look on your face once I show up with the portrait in my arms.

“The Master will be meeting with you shortly. Please stand by in his office in the meantime,” the maid said, escorting me to a mahogany red door before bending her legs to make a small curtsey. I furrowed my eyebrows, but nodded my head at her nevertheless, wondering why she was being so formal.

This house was proof that not all rich people had great taste. The decoration and color scheme were awful, and very much different to Hunter’s sophisticated earthy design. This guy was trying to flaunt his riches. I sighed and tried to rein in my contempt, though, since I haven’t met him yet.

I entered the office and looked around, raising an eyebrow at a shelf filled with overly-complicated books, and hard-to-read titles. This owner was either very intelligent, or trying to appear like he was.

It was when I swept my eyes over to the other side did I finally see it: The painting of the beautiful Clara Louise.

It was beautiful to look at even from a photo, but seeing it live was absolutely breathtaking.

Oh my God, Hunter, I finally found it.

He was going to be so pleased! And I’ll finally be able to tell him the words he’s been longing to hear.

“Well, well. What do we have here?” I heard someone say, and the hairs on the back of my neck rose up. “It seems the mouse has gone into the cat’s lair all by herself.”

I gasped as I turned around and saw Westleton standing there, his eyes glinting maliciously.

  Chapter 22

  Hunter

The New York branch’s presentation was intriguing and had a lot promise. I could already envision triple gains in the next couple of months once we launched their product.

While the rest of the execs were talking, exchanging words and ideas with the team presenters, Lark was gunning down the flaws and making them cover the loopholes. On any other day, I would be standing up somewhere in the middle taking over the discussion, telling each team what to do to get the ball rolling on this thing.

That’s what I should’ve been doing today, but it wasn’t.

I only caught bits and pieces of their presentation, and kept checking my phone, scrolling through my emails as if there was an item there I neglected to take action on. I saw Lark take a quick glance at me a few times, and I knew she could tell I was being different today, but refused to point it out in the middle of the meeting. Instead she took over my duties enough, that when the meeting was adjourned, and everyone had finally left, she compiled all of the files and looked me straight in the eye.

“Pardon my rudeness, sir, but you’ve been spacing out the entire day. Is there something the matter?” she asked politely yet critically. I shook my head.

“No, I don’t think so. I do feel like something’s wrong though for some reason,” I admitted, not liking the lurching feeling in the pits of my stomach.

“Something wrong? You mean from the presentation?” she asked.

“No, it’s not about the presentation or anything about the meeting. I just feel anxious all of a sudden and I don’t know why.”

“Hmm that’s strange. Earlier this morning, you were completely fine. Shall I call a doctor?” she asked and I winced, shaking my head.

That’s not it, I thought, as I continued to shake my head no.

“Well, here’s some good news to ease your mind. Jamie called me a few hours ago, and she said she got a lead from one of her auction house connections about where your grandmother’s portrait could be,” Lark shared.

My heart leapt at the mention of her name, my gut clenching again, and I turned my head toward Lark with furrowed eyebrows.

“Really? What exactly did she say?” I asked.

“She said the portrait was bought recently, and she was on her way to the buyer’s address to verify it. Here is the address,” she said, taking her phone out to show me the message.

  “How long ago was this?”

“It says I got her text about four hours ago,” she replied.

“And has she tried contacting you since?”

  “No, sir. She hasn’t.”

My heart started to beat faster against my ribs, and I pulled out my phone to check if she called me. Nothing since her text six hours ago, right after I left for work.

“Try calling her,” I ordered, and Lark pressed the phone to her ear. She frowned and tried again.

“The call keeps getting rejected, sir.”

The hairs on my arms went up and started tingling, my breath becoming quick and shallow. I was getting worried.

“Try again!” I barked, but changed my mind and called her myself. She never rejected my calls.

Just then someone picked up and my heart stopped as a deep, throaty chuckle answered the call.

“Hello, Drake. Worried about your girl?” the other line said.

“Who is this?!” I fired back, my hands starting to feel clammy. Lark’s eyes widened and I placed the phone on speaker so she could hear it too.

“You’ll find out soon enough,” the voice sneered. “But maybe you should hurry up before I get too lonely.”

“If you lay one finger on her, I’ll—,”

“Careful, Drake. I’m the one making threats here. You should be a good boy and just listen. If you want your woman, and this pretty little picture back, you’re going to have to do what I say, understand?”

I cursed under my breath, my hand clenching up with a combination of rage and worry. I imagined Jamie being tied up, or worse.

“What do you want?” I asked, using every bit of my willpower not to beg this man.

“That’s a good lad,” he said, releasing another throaty laugh that made me want to hurl my phone to the wall. “Write down this address, and that’s where I’ll meet you.” I nodded to Lark and she already had a pen and paper ready, waiting for the info.

“Go ahead and tell me,” and he spat out the address, while Lark began to look it up.

“Now just remember, Drake. If I find out you brought the cops here, then your girl, your painting, and your reputation will be full of blood, you hear me?”

  “Alright just…just don’t hurt her,” I pleaded.

“I’m going to enjoy hearing you beg for her life. I’ll see you soon, Drake. And remember: No cops.”

The call ended, and I looked over at Lark who had already marked down the quickest route.

“It’s an abandoned warehouse, sir, a few kilometers near the border,” she said, showing me the map.

“I need to get over there,” I said, grabbing the note and putting it in my pocket.

“Sir, please don’t make any hasty decisions, let’s think this through. They could be setting you up in a trap,” Lark said.

“You think I don’t know that?!” I exploded, burying my hand through my hair. “But I can’t think straight! I—I don’t have any choice!”

“Calm down, sir. You’re more rational than this,” Lark said softly. “We’ve explored any and all loopholes in every business situation we’ve come across so far. Let’s use your gift of shrewdness here.”

I took a deep breath and willed my thoughts to unscramble. Lark was right. If I had any chance of getting Jamie back safe, then it was with a clear head. I was better than this, and I was a hell of a lot craftier than this motherfucker.

Suddenly, the wheels in my head began to turn.

“How far away is the address Jamie gave you from the place the kidnapper wants me to meet him?” I asked her.

“Not too far,” she answered, checking it out. The kidnapper was stupid enough to do it somewhere near.

“Check who owns both properties. The fucker said I’m not allowed to bring cops to the warehouse, but now I know where he lives.”

“And what about the warehouse, sir?

“You let me worry about that. Just do what I te
ll you and I’ll try to keep you updated once I get there,” I said, running off to my car.

Thank God I chose to drive myself today. I got in, reversed out of the parking lot and punched it, traffic lights be damned. I put my phone into the holder and scrolled through my contacts until I found what I was looking for. I hesitated, unsure how this person was going to respond after how I treated him, but I didn’t have any other option. I needed his help, and Jamie was a thousand times more important than my pride.

I pressed call and waited for the receiver to pick up.

“Grandfather? It’s me. I need…,” I took a deep, shuddering breath before completing my sentence.

  “I need your help.”

  ***

I arrived at the warehouse with time to spare, my heart hammering in my chest as I got closer. There was a chance the kidnapper just wanted me dead, and would shoot me the moment I walked in, but I had to believe he wanted something more.

I banged my hand on the door three times and it opened. I stepped inside, and the muzzle of an automatic rifle was immediately shoved into my cheek, forcing me to put my hands up in surrender. Another man from behind put my hands down and tied them behind my back before kicking me into gear, making me walk in front of them as they occasionally prodded my back with the gun.

We went through a series of doors. It felt like they were trying to circle me around and confuse me, but I remembered every twist and turn.

I felt Jamie’s presence even before I saw her as one of the men swung the door open, revealing my precious girl. She was sitting in the middle of the small room with a singular bulb hanging down as light. I forgot about everything and ran over there when I suddenly felt a pain in my gut as a fist drove itself into my stomach.

I coughed loudly, doubling over in pain, and the throaty chuckle from the phone erupted into the room. Eyes blazing, I slowly turned my head up to the source.

“Westleton,” I spat, glowering at him.

He was standing behind Jamie, his filthy grubby hands placed on top of her shoulders, squeezing enough to make her wince. His boys pulled me up and kicked me closer to them, making me drop in front of Jamie. I stared into her tear-filled eyes, and mouthed are you okay? to her. She gulped and nodded.
